ASEM top, I should think? There's a separate topic about it. Don't be surprised to see Japanese B747 near :) but I think they already departed. The Indian one is rumoured to depart this evening 20:00 LT

Strange: Saudi Cargo flight SV914 from BRU to JED is taking off at the moment from runway 25L (!!!). It has taxied all the way from the cargo ramp towards 25L, and has backtracked there. I have never seen this before on any flight. Aren't the cargo flights usually taking off from 25R?

I thought I read somewhere about renovation works on the 25R for the moment.

They do, but during the weekends runway 25R is closed due to maintenance.
Right now, the normal configuration is 01 for landings and arrivals. But 01/19 is 650m shorter than 07L/25R. So the pilots of the (probably) heavy loaded B744 decided to take-off from 25L because this runway is 230m longer than 01.

The previous week they did take-off from 01. Very unusual indeed to see this happen... :D

What's happening at BRU with 01/19 and 25L/07R closed due to "work in progress"?

True, but today some other works were performed on 25L and 01, hence necessitating 07L/25R single.
Due to the wind, 07L was chosen.
