Court case in Den Bosch (NL) today: 13 Ryanair pilots demand that the court forbits Ryanair to close their base there, because that's done as a reaction to the past strike. Ryanair claims that Eindhoven base will be closed because of raising fuel prices, cheaper tickets and lower demand.

Expedia launched a counterclaim against Ryanair in a US court that accuses it of trying to “destroy” competition by leveraging a “monopoly” position on some routes.

Ryanair to make Berlin Tegel its tenth base in Germany from April 2019, taking over four planes already stationed there by partner Laudamotion. Ryanair with A320s? That would be a revolution!

We thank Ryanair for the images ... and the related privacy violation that will have to answer because these images show once again that it has no respect for the rights of employees ....
Thanks Ryanair for having confirmed to the whole world that the crew instead of receiving adequate accommodation as required by the rules, an arrangement that allows you to rest from the hard work that must guarantee flight safety, as in the truth reported were abandoned in a room where you clearly see that to lie down and rest, this it could only happen by lying on the floor among all the others.
Thank you Ryanair for confirming it to everyone without having doubts if the photo disclosed was true ... the photo clearly wanted to be the representation of the inconvenience immediately in the face of an uncomfortable truth for Ryanair: do not care about the welfare of their employees and forecasts of the rules ... there was only one thing to do: "apologize with their employees and thank them" .....
yet another nasty demonstration that Ryanair does not respect the rights ... and does not even apologize. ... bad strategy ....
RYANAIR MUST CHANGE!

Most of the Laudamotion routes out of TXL are operated with B738's from Ryanair.

Re: Ryanair in 2018
Why didn't the crew just leave the airport?
If someone is trying to prevent them to leave, they call the police and say they are being held hostage, against their will, kidnapped.
Find hotel on phone, go to hotel, pay transport and hotel, claim back from Ryanair later.
That's what Ryanair passengers need to do when flights get cancelled...

Re: Ryanair in 2018
That’s not how crewing/operations work. Legally they can't do that as they wouldn't be covered by insurance in the first place, secondly they wouldn't know what their sign off time and sign on time would be to comply with EASA's FTL scheme.
Re: Ryanair in 2018
Apparently, they still don't understand: Ryanair is pressing ahead with plans to move Polish staff onto self-employed contracts, said CMO Kenny Jacobs.

A racist Ryanair passenger refuses to sit next to an elderly black woman, the flight attendant removes the woman to a seat in the front of the aircraft but the ranting passenger can remain in his seat.

He should have been thrown off!
Ryanair's only comment: We are aware of this video and have reported this matter to Essex Police. As this is now a police matter, we cannot comment further.

Re: Ryanair in 2018
Most Ryanair passengers don't do this because they estimate their chances for a refund almost zero. Specially when "extraordinary cicrumstances" apply - adverse weather, forcing the closure of an airport. Though such event only means that airlines don't have to pay the indemnity, some airlines also use it to waive costs they should refund according to EU jurisprudence.Charlie Roy wrote: ↑20 Oct 2018, 00:23 Find hotel on phone, go to hotel, pay transport and hotel, claim back from Ryanair later.

Re: Ryanair in 2018
It’s fairly simple: treat your staff with respect. Ask Richard Branson!
Re: Ryanair in 2018
Did I contest that? I wasnt speaking in Ryanair’s defense but merely explaining Why the crew cant just arrange everything themselves
Re: Ryanair in 2018
Not at all!
Re: Ryanair in 2018
The Ryanair crew members that staged the sleeping-on-the-floor picture have been summoned to Dublin.
Re: Ryanair in 2018
Will they also sleep on the floor in Dublin Airport or did the airline book them in a decent hotel?

up and down the same day, but un-employed on the way back, that's my guess

I think they have other worries to tackle ...
