Germany’s government will purchase three A350s, with conversion into VIP aircraft completed from 2022.

The A350s will replace A340s, one of which miserably failed while carrying chancellor Angela Merkel to Brazil and compelling her to take a commercial aircraft.

Is it safer to fly the head of state with a "no go" item?

Airbus may open to door to the “A350-2000” now that the A380 is coming to an end, according to an industry analyst. The potential model would be a stretched -1000 with Ultra Fan engines, with EIS around 2025.

IAG has transferred orders for four A350-900s from Aer Lingus to Iberia. It's not good to be the last small little player in a big airline group...

Elsewhere, Japan Airlines will begin A350 operations on 01 September 2019, initially operating the Tokyo Haneda – Fukuoka route, followed by Okinawa and Sapporo New Chitose.

The decision has been taken. The German Air Force (Luftwaffe) buys three A350s to replace its two 20-year-old A340s.

The first aircraft will be delivered later this year, but will not enter service until 2020 or even later, after retrofitting by Lufthansa Technik into a VIP configuration with conference rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as advanced communications and self-defense systems.

The German Air Force will be the first air force to operate the Airbus A350.

The current fleet of the Executice Transport Wing of the Luftwaffe consists of 2 Airbus A340-300s, 5 Airbus A310s, 2 Airbus A319s, 1 Airbus A321, and 4 Bombardier Global 5000s.

^^ Good example for Belgium. We should buy 1 long range jet for all military and VIP transportation, in stead of hiring all-white A330's from a Portuguese private company. It's embarrassing.

But will this plane have a 'Belgian' livery (it will be owned by NATO if I remember correctly) ?

Iberia will receive four additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft. These four aircraft are part of an order already made by IAG (International Airlines Group) and which have been assigned to the Spanish airline. By 2023, the airline will have twenty Airbus A350-900 in its fleet.

Currently, the airline already received three A350 aircraft, with which it operates flights to New York and Buenos Aires. This year three more aircraft will join the fleet.
