30 of 105 jobs endangered at Sabca Lummen composite production facility: https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2018/06/21 ... ijf-sabca/ (in Dutch).

(and my apologies if this is not "trivial", as some might well feel. Mods, feel free to move to another thread or even to a new one)

Back in 1935, a then 7-year old Dutch boy has won a scenic flight Amsterdam-Amsterdam in a KLM competition. However, he never claimed his price then.

The man turned 90 this week. As a surprise, his 7-year old grand-grandson (and KLM) arranged that scenic flight. In PH-PBA, a 1944 DC-3:

This is IMHO a normal reaction of the air conditioning in very humid and hot weather conditions.

Indian comments on Twitter:
AirAsia Kolkata-Bagdogra Flight Staff Put Blowers In Full Blast To Hound Us Out, Alleges Passenger:
AirAsia's Bagdogra bound flight delayed; passenger complains of ill treatment
Air asia HARRASING treatment to passengers on flight from Kolkata to Bagdogra please take action against these airlines
Well-functioning air conditioning disrupts AirAsia India flight from Kolkata to Siliguri Bagdogra.

Time difference problem?

Looking at FR24, I just noticed that SN552 took off from Toronto at 18:10 local time, which I believe to be 00:10 Belgian time. My computers indicates 23:45 right now; so does my watch. Any logical explanation?
And, btw, the scheduled departure time from Toronto is 18:00 local time (UTC-4)!

Update: after a closer look at the FR24 map, this looks to be another one of FR24's hiccups, and that's the most logical explanation I could expect.

OO-SNE, which is not supposed to travel today until its trip to Palma de Mallorca at 6 pm (FR24 data) is currently flying as SN9933 to "Sotchi" (FR24 map), Sotchi being in this case one of the Moscow airports. :)

And the winner is... (after what looked like a partial but looong review of the alternatives :) ) Domodedovo.

During the last few days, there have been several SN special flights to Moscow appearing on the FR24 map (including 2 by A333 OO-SFM) but none of them shows in their data tables. Same, btw, goes for all SN's charter flights (those with numbers SN11xx). Confirms FR24's reliability...

Update during football game coffee break after the avalanche (2:55 pm BRU time):
SFM as SN9935 and SNA as SN9937 also on their way now, presumably to...Domodedovo.

And SNE on its way back as SN1058.

According to this Notam there is some serious change to the TACAN approach procedure at Liege airport runway 08L ....

E) [US DOD PROCEDURAL NOTAM] INSTRUMENT APPROACH PROCEDURE AMENDMENT
HI-TACAN RWY 08L CHANGE MAPT LOCATION TO BFS R-262/0.9 DME

I can only agree that putting the MAPT to EBLG at 0.9DME from BFS, well that is a change.

Isn't it strange that EBLG still has a TACAN at all? TACANs are normally associated with military aerodromes but Liège ceased be one several years ago. Sure enough the TACAN will disappear one day? Especially as there are a couple of VOR's around that offer roughly the same functionality in a more standard way.

Or, euhh, did I miss some tiny point?

In between 2 football games (7:30 pm BRU time), there is a nice race between SNA and SFM on their way back from DMD on the same path; SFM took off 4 minutes after SNA but getting closer... :?:

50 cents on the A333! :)

Well, save for a sudden and significant magnetic drift there is no 08L at EBLG.

Looks like a blunder.

See one but last Notam.

They most probably meant EBFS.
Which other AD has a set of parallel 08's? Also they refer to the VOR as BFS.

US DOD. Always getting greater.

But what the heck. It is in the same country, no?

It has been very long since the US ceased to make an impression on me. But in this case I cannot be very sure. A notam regarding EBBU airspace should always depart from the Brussels NOTAM office, I should think? Was someone in Steenokkerzeel clever enough to outwit Uncle Sam? I tried to find a corresponding notam on belgocontrol website but found none - my error, like as not.

And, err, your link did not work for me, perhaps someone saw the error and triggered correction?

Fully agree.

Sorry the link including the query returns an error message.

Better link to the FAA home page : https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/

Select ICAO, then introduce the parameters

This specific Notam has been issued on 22JUN and is still there, see one but last.

Bigger button orange man will attend the NATO summit on July 11-12.

If easterly winds still prevail next week, a strict adherence to the path onto RWY07L is advisable and no overflying of the NATO shack please.
