... According to the article...
...
It's not the first time that trade unions use a journalist in an ongoing social conflict with management. Hence: added value of this article = zero.
On the contrary I fi d this article very worrying.

1. Philippe Lawson, whom I know personally, is a very respected journalist.
2. This would be the first time ever that L'Echo works for the unions.
3. The positions of management and unions remain irreconcilable and that's bad news for the future of SN.
There are two parties involved in this social conflict.
A good journalist reports the views from both parties. If not, his article is subjective. That's the only thing I have posted about that article. But even that seems to be too much when crew and/or trade unions are involved.

Any idea about which destinations will replace the 3 frequencies lost on Kinshasa? SN doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fly its aircraft. Or are they hoping Kabila will change his mind?

Has been reported a few times already. Soon (in June) IAD will go to daily (+1), Accra/Lomé will get a respectively 6th/5th frequency (+1) and the 3rd one was I believe EBB/KGL. DLA/NSI also benefits from it, both being daily now for some time already (NSI wasn't before as DLA was combined with FIH on some days).

Thanks RoMax, I'd missed that information.

OO-SFO will operate today EW1104/EW1105 DUS-RSW-DUS.
OO-SFB is having a E-check and is not ready on time.

Brussels Airlines prepared tonight the cabin of Trident, the official Red Devils aircraft. Belgian people could choose 35 great moments in het history of the team. Pictures of these moments are now placed on the overhead cabins of the plane. Pictures and a short movie via the following link:

Practical question: which cockpit and cabin crews would be handling the flight, SN or EW? And on the way back?

What do you mean? Flights are operated by the same company?

You're right. I just hope that when BRU will need a plane based in DUS, e.g. an A340 that is available, it will work the same way, i.s.o. SN having to wet-lease a Portuguese one.

Convair- SN is the operator of the 340s, they concluded an ACMI agreement with EW. If there is a 340 available it is for SN to decide if they use it to back up their own ops.
Same for your previous question: there is no EW crew on the 340, it is SN crew (in EW uniform).

Helsinki next? ;) (and perhaps some other seasonal services to the Nordics, e.g. Lapland?)

Indeed, Helsinki would be great! This the main dot missing on the European map in my humble opinion, don’t You think ?!

At least, what is positive is that Brussels Airlines is back in track with business destination. And not again, holiday destination.
