Agree, Wroclaw is one of the nicest towns of Poland.
However, I'm surprised BA goes for it, as Ryanair flights to Wroclaw are sooo cheap and I think not profitable (remember how empty the flight were some years ago). For example, I booked a ticket for 20€ return in August, over the weekend!

Good choice, kiev and wroclaw... Wroclaw is Poland’s 3rd biggest city, metropoll of some 600k people and IT boom-town ... Google, Samsung, Nokia, all have big operations there ... Bank of New York (see as well their ops in Brussels) and Credit Suisse employ well over 6,000 banking staff ... on top of it, a lovely histroic city. My other half will be more than happy to see the home town connected (well, a direct one from Lux would have been even better) and will save us the 9 hours drive to the pied-a-terre in Wroclaw ... Kiev needs no argument .. 3 million people city, and for obvious reasons more and more Nato And EU traffic .. both destinations should be successful

Hi,

mmm second thougts :

Kiev is flown double daily on basic fares of 65 return when booked in advance, I flew to KBP on UIA on was biz. pax max 10 pax and rest nice looking girls going 'home'-land.
Plane out was 30 pax and return 20...
When the frequency is that low I guess they won't attract much biz. pax, connecting flights on OS,LH,LX are all applied.
This with a start up of Kiev base of FR .... soon ..

Wraclow... ok... unknown for tourism but big potential maybe...
( love the dwarfs statues over there )
Biz... will be picked up by LOT connecting WAW, better timings more frequency..
Tourism... WIZZ is flying from EIN ! ...
Beating Wizz will be hard..

This with Airbus ? Flying half empty all the way ..

Think Eurowings must do their homework again or are they in urgeon to close SN ops sooner because of a no money making europe operation ???

Hi, what about taking some EMB in the ops... and start better options... Glasgow, AMS-LUX-CDG( for all), BEG-SOF,HEL,Kazan,... so picking up OneW-SKY members ;)
And much more frequencies to Italy and Spain... CTA !...

CXB
New types flown 2022.. A339

I agree, especially that the country has been going through an acute political and economie crisis.

Brussels Airport announcement: Ethiopian Airlines operates a daily service from Addis Ababa to Brussels Airport. ✈️ As of December, 4 of the 7 flights will be non-stop. This will reduce your flight time by 2 hours!

Primera Air has requested slots for daily service to IAD and EWR starting this winter with A321(LR), I guess.
Anybody news about that?

That should be some news! Nice competition for United! They have to do something with all their planes on order ;)

From experience, a slot request doesn’t actually mean that they WILL start flying. But it’s a start. Would that be direct flights or via its base (Reykjavik?)

This is what Primera Air announced in 2017 on their 2018 Transatlantic plans: Primera Air announces transatlantic flights
and what Routes Online posted on the initial schedule Primera Air to start US scheduled service in S18. By the end of June, the Birmingham routes will end entirely.

As Primera Air has ordered the A321neo, we're talking about non-stop flights Europe-US.
