Guys !
I have 2 news !
Schedule of AB is available !
It was an interview of the CEO by a journalist of Business Traveller : https://www.businesstraveller.com/busin ... pril-2018/
A schedule for the four-times-weekly Hong Kong route also has been announced. The airline will fly out of Brussels South Charleroi Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 1400, arriving in Hong Kong the following morning at 0730 following a 12-hour journey.

The return leg will then depart Hong Kong International Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 1130 and land back at Brussels South at 1830 the same day.
It means...
XXxxx ABBxxxx CRL-HKG 14:00 07:30+1 1-34--7
XXxxx ABBxxxx HKG-CRL 11:30 18:30 12-45--

And both aircrafts are supposed to be transfered at CRL on Monday 26...(Source : friend)

So no flights on saturday? Does this also mean that one of them is spending almost a day on ground in CRL? Arriving at 18:30 and leaving only 14:00 the next day?

There needs to be some slack in the schedule for delays and maintenance tasks.

Not "almost a day", but a full day of course; and the other aircraft as well!

The way the schedule is built, they need 2 aircraft to do the job. But for 4 return flights a week, they can fly each aircraft twice a week or, with no outbound flight Fri nor Sat, they can choose to operate 3 return for 1 and 1 return for the other, alternating the following week. In this case, one aircraft can stay 2 full days on the ground, unless other flights are introduced in the schedule of course.

Specially when even more taxpayers money will be invested in a runway extension that is a waste of money (the EU doens't make a difference between federal and regional authorities).
Every time you comment on this topic it's to blame ABA to have chosen CRL, to highlight how stupid their decision is or to try to get attention from journalist or EU to stir the pot around so-called forbidden state aid.
Their competition didn't need a pointer from me about "state aid". It's obvious. It's public. They even gave a press conference about it: two state departments are injecting money in a private company in a highly competitive world. (Trust you know that the EU doesn't make a difference between aid from a regional vehicle that is owned by another regional vehicle, and federal state aid: the EU regards both as Belgian).

How many law firms are working on it by now? My guess: at least three. Without having seen my post.
Desert Rat wrote: 21 Mar 2018, 04:28 Me think, the decision is taken and it is up to ABA to assume their choice, they have been supported by market experts from OEM, but also suppliers (Sabre, Amadeus,???,etc...), they have build their business plan around recommendations and personal experience, so let's give them a chance to prove you wrong, sit back, relax and enjoy the show, it will start soon...and if it ends before year end, so be it, at least they were not part of the blaming people but the one who tried to build something.
Their initial business plan was to start flying as from early 2016. Unfortunately, Plan A had to be cancelled. So please, don't blame me for saying that it seems they also had to cancel Plan B meanwhile. And don't blame for saying that it will be very hard for them to compete against Cathay and Hainan, when doing so out of CRL.

Is the reservation system open? If it does not mean that they are only looking for Chinese customers and advise me to fly with HU or CX where I can easily book a flight!

The covers on ABA are red as well, they're just washed out by the sodium lighting. :)

Same on ABA. I guess that's because the fuselage is getting narrower in this area, thus the impression.
But well... definitly looks weird.

Isn't Gustin looking for a job? He could be a positive value to this operation.
