The name VLM has been in existence since 1992. If KLM minded, they would have mentioned it by now.

Furthermore, VLM in the beginning was feeding KLM flights on ANR-AMS, when KLM stopped flying to ANR.

1)Are you sure about that? If I 'am not mistaken it was DAT (with FVG) which did the flights to AMS.
I can not remember VLM going to AMS from ANR for KLM.

2)Will VLM Brussels not have to look for another name anyway? As it will be a different legal entity than the 'real' VLM in Antwerp/maribor.

DAT did these flights for a while in the nineties, I remenber taking these flights on several occasions in 1995 & 1996. Noisy EMB-120's performed the flights.
I also have no recollection of regular VLM flights to AMS.

Chances are it can be the other way around, ex-TCAB is officially VLM Airlines NV while the Antwerp operation is officially SHS Antwerp Aviation NV (doing business as VLM Airlines (at the moment)).

SHS Antwerp Aviation seems to have abandoned VLM Airlines and has chosen VLM Regional instead (according to a change in the legal paperwork published in the Belgian State Gazette.

So they probably negotiated and came to an understanding, the "big" company will get VLM Airlines as a brand while the "small" company will get VLM Regional as a brand.

And who are the new owners now of VLM Airlines (ex TCAB)? Is it published somewhere? Somebody told me that Mr. Prins would be involved.

Strange my post wasn't published.

One could read more in lalibre.be, the 2 A320's will go back to Condor and VLM Brussels is now looking for alternatives...

MUC-MBX-MUC is still bookable though. Is this a (temporary) technical issue or something else?

I had the idea there was some demand from ANR to MBX though.
Snowheight in the Maribor mountains is 90 cm.Nice for skifun in a less wellknown area for us Belgians. :)
It's bookable agaiin. Seems they made adaptations to the website. Now it is clear that there is a 30min stop in Munich, instead of showing as a direct flight.

They urgently need newer planes as the Fokker isn't supported anymore in Europe but a new route on the other hand needs time as well .. so it's no surprise loads are low at the moment. I'm sure they know what they're doing.

just give them some time .. they still need to compete with TUI as well as they did the right thing to station E-jets at ANR .. if only VLM would have bought those in the past they would still fly for their own without a bankruptcy .. it's all about bad decisions in the past .. but I hope and I'm sure the investors will see the potential out of ANR and replace the aging fokkers soon before it's too late

The "old" VLM ordered SSJ100s, only to cancel their order a few months later. With these aircraft, they would probably fare much better!

but the problem would be they couldn't land at City as they aren't certified yet .. but for other destinations it could have worked

Weren't the SSJ's mainly intended for the "Diamond Express" Antwerp-Tel Aviv-Delhi? That required the long-range version which had certification issues, or at least delays - or so I seem to remember.

VLM is a sinking ship. The amateurism and incompetence of all the succeeding 'owners' is killing the company.

100 € <=> 1116 € !!!
