Delta flight #DL43 BRU-JFK (B767-300 reg. N186DN) diverted to Detroit (DTW) due to snow storms over New York. Many other transatlantic flights to JFK diverted as well.

JFK-bound flights are diverting to airports quite far away from New York.
AA199 to Chicago
DL43 to Detroit
DL45 to Atlanta
DL49 to Atlanta
QR701 to Washington
EK201 to Washington

Brussels Airlines SN501 didn't fly at all...

SN has positioned an A333 in YYZ.

Both OO-SFO & M are in CYYZ at the moment.

I see. SFO flew the regular SN551 BRU-YYZ flight (and will return to BRU as SN552) and SFM was positioned in YYZ with the intention to fly JFK-BRU as soon as the storm is over.

SFM operated SN552 and is back in BRU. But what is the fate of SFO? I didn't find any information about it.

Welcome to this forum, mdm.

I have different information: SN501 was cancelled and OO-SFM was positioned in YYZ to operate SN502 JFK-BRU as soon as the storm in NYC would be over. See the "Abnormalities" thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=62782

OO-SFM did flight SN551 and landed in Toronto YYZ. OO-SFO did flight SN501 to JFK, was diverted to YYZ , landed about 15 min later and than became flight SN551 in the listing. Why ???. Later OO-SFM did the return flight SN552 YYZ-BRU. Next day, OO-SFO fly to JFK and did SN502 JFK-BRU. You can see it on Flightradar24 04jan arrount 17h30utc.

Lufthansa flights #LH400 (Frankfurt-New York JFK, A380 reg. D-AIMG) and #LH410 (Munich-NewYork JFK, A340-600 reg. D-AIHB) are returning to Germany due to capacity issues at JFK.

It looks like JFK is a big mess for the three last days.

Edit: #OS87 (B767-300 reg. OE-LAY) returning to VIE !!! How is SN501 (OO-SFV) doing?

You're right mdm.

Same story today: OO-SFN as SN551 is now approaching YYZ, while OO-SFV initially bound to JFK as SN501 seems to be returning to BRU right now, but as SN551!!!???

Looks like both JFK and FR24 are in a big mess!

Does it mean the normal flight to YYZ 551 arrived @ YYZ and the JFK flight 501 was diverted again to YYZ and no returned to BRU ? Thx.

Welcome to our Aviation24.be forum, Gert1981.

I'm afraid that the airline will invoke the "Hand of God" to refuse any indemnification.
