Ryanair pilots are being investigated by the UK’s Revenue & Customs over complex employment structures imposed on them by the airline.

With the recent CAA injunction, it looks like Ryanair has few friends in the UK Government...

Furthermore, Ryanair pilots campaigning for unionisation amid a staffing crisis that led to the cancellation of 20,000 flights have been offered financial backing from American Airlines (US) cockpit-crew association.

Many news items about unionisation of pilots:

Ryanair faces possible strike from German pilots as the airline refuses to negotiate a new collective agreement.

Ryanair is closer to a collective bargaining after pilots in Ireland founded a new body and demanded negotiations with the low-cost operator.

Ryanair Italian pilots are unionizing in mass under the ANPAC union.

Ryanair union representing 700 Spanish pilots requested negotiations with the carrier.

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary says the carrier does not recognise the local union created by its pilots in Spain. Why am I not surprised?

Has anyone flown with them recently ? If so, do they strictly enforce their new "one bag" policy ?
Thanks.

I'm flying Ryanair next week and I also checked the baggage policy. It seems the "one bag"-policy will only be effective from 15th of January: https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en/useful-in ... n-I-carry/

Ryanair applied for slots to base nine aircraft at Berlin Tegel in addition to its nine aircraft based at Berlin Schonefeld.

Ryanair says the validity of easyJet's so-called “slot purchase” is questionable and looks forward to confirmation from the relevant authorities that Berlin will be open to competition.

Ryanair is still receiving new planes, last month it received 4x Boeing 737-8AS(WL)'s (EI-GDK, GDM, GDN & GDO), another one (EI-GDP) is currently in final assembly and for another 3 (EI-GDR, GDS & GDT) parts are arriving according to the latest info.

Ryanair is changing its hand luggage policy: from now on all trolleys (wheelie bags) will be placed into the hold unless you pay €5/£5 for a priority boarding pass: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/ryana ... -boarding/

A game changer ? Will other airlines follow ?

To be honest...

I kind of understand... what some people bring on board...

On the other hand, if it would be given back on the tarmac, way less people would mind...

Cheers,

It would even be better if people would stop acting like waiting by a baggage belt for 15min is the same as the world coming to an end

The problem is not that passengers don't want to wait 15 minutes at the luggage belt. The problem is that passengers are afraid that their luggage won't show up on the luggage belt.
