What makes you think it's not treated well?

@YvonneMakolo Hi, looks like there were few issues last week with @Rwandair. Can we still fly from Brussels to/from #Kigali next month? Thx.

Wait and see ... I am curious what will happen. Yet I am not 100% sure that it will be resolved..

It could be resolved in a very simple way if the return flight from LGW to KGL also stops in BRU.

I think it's not working because then the flight arrive to late for the connections.
Hasta la victoria siempre.

The UK is making an exception for Rwandair?

Timetables will change, from late oct 2017 (i posted info last week), with a departure from Kigali at 8h50, instead of 10h15, but routing is still Kigali-Brussels-London-Kigali.

It seems it happened in the past,w ith Ghana Airways or Ghana International Airlines, on its Accra-London-Dusseldorf, but it was rare.

Still rebooking BRU-KGL passengers on Brussels Airlines?

Just an idea:
How about if Rwandair & SN collaborate.

Let us say they share the route between BRU and KGL.
Say each 5 flights or so per week.
SN morning flights - Rwandair evening flights ( ex BRU)

From Brussels they connect to all European destinations of SN
From Kigali they connect with Rwandair to all Southern African destinations of Rwandair.
( Dar Es Salam, Johannnesburg, Harare, Kilimanjaro, Lusaka.....)

Visa problem solved.
win win win
Kigali has potential to be a Hub for Southern African destinations.

This information was not supposed to be public, as it was part of an internal communication of a company active at Brussels airport. That's why we did not publish it.

Furthermore, for its BRU-KGL route, RwandAir itself mentions on its website only the flights operated in codeshare by Brussels Airlines.

Information has also been confirmed by APG Air Agencies, the representation for RwandAir in the Benelux.

The BRU-KGL flights are not yet in the GDS. Booking seems to be open on the RwandAir website as from 11 August, but not yet on the web travel agencies. (Thanks to RwandanFlyer for the information)

I think the same.
And I don't see why they wouldn't have 5th trafic freedom on the bru-lgw segment.
Clearly it will be a rough competition against sn .. but that's life :)

No competition at all: there is nobody flying BRU-LGW right now. Furthermore, even if RwandAir gets traffic rights on the route, it will be one way only.
