Check if you need a UK visa

note: I entered travel information for transit passengers flying to Rwanda

You’ll need a visa to pass through the UK in transit (unless you’re exempt)

You should apply for a Direct Airside Transit visa if you arrive in the UK on a flight and leave again without passing through immigration control.

Exemptions
You don’t need a visa if you have one of the following:

a visa for Canada, New Zealand, Australia or the USA (this can be used for travel to any country)
a residence permit issued by Australia or New Zealand
a common format residence permit issued by an European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland
a resident permit issued by Canada after 28 June 2002
a uniform format category D visa for entry into a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland
an Irish biometric visa (marked ‘BC’ or ‘BC BIVS’ in the ‘Remarks’ section)
a Schengen Approved Destination Scheme (ADS) group tourism visa where the holder is travelling to the Schengen country that issued the visa
a flight ticket from the Schengen area, if you can prove that you entered the Schengen area in the previous 30 days on the basis of a valid Schengen ADS visa
a valid USA I-551 Temporary Immigrant visa issued by the USA (a wet-ink stamp version will not be accepted)
a valid USA permanent residence card issued by the USA on or after 21 April 1998
an expired USA I-551 Permanent Residence card issued by the USA on or after 21 April 1998, with a valid I-797 letter authorising extension
a valid standalone US Immigration Form 155A/155B issued by the USA (attached to a sealed brown envelope)
All visas and residence permits must be valid.

E-visas or e-residence permits are not acceptable unless your airline is able to verify it with the issuing country. Contact your airline for more information.

It's £34 pound to buy a Direct Airside Transit visa (DATV) https://www.gov.uk/transit-visa/overview

Due to the pending issues with the UK border force the RwandAir flight will continue from BRU to LGW with no passengers embarking in BRU for KGL on that stretch.
Pax will disembark to be rescreened, with the Direct Airside Transit visa.
I have checked the option for a Direct Airside Transit Visa, it's £34 per passenger.

Yes, but in BRU no pax allowed to LGW or KGL
Then you didn't read a message posted 2 or 3 posts above yours:
rwandan-flyer wrote: 12 Jul 2017, 17:00 All passengers boarded on our flight from BRU to KGL via LGW will be required to disembark with their cabin luggage at LGW an rescreened by the UK authorities.

Incredible!
The UK regulations were not published today ! I can not understand how Rwandair did not sort out this issue before launching the flights, and embarrassing themselves and causing those who booked the flights grave inconvenience. Someone messed up big time at Rwandair! Good news for SN of course.

i m totaly agree, very bad thing for RwandAir on this side. This visa exists since many years, i can't understand how RwandAir mgt did miss this issue ? They published info, 10 days ago, while they announced Brussels service, early June 2017

All pax have been rebooked on Brussels Airlines

As I said a few days ago, there is an easy solution.
convair wrote: 12 Jul 2017, 23:28 I think a stop at BRU on both ways instead of a triangular flight would solve the problem. How silly of RwandAir to have accepted that set-up!

In deed, it will be probably the best solution:

It is a shame that this major hick up overshadows what should have been a milestone for African aviation: a great unnuagral flight into BRU.

It shows also clearly what kind of claustrophobic country 'Great' Britain has become.

They will sabotage everything they can in the name of "Britishness".
Look at or listen to Theresa May, you understand how weak and unstable this country has become.

I hope that Rwandair becomes successful, and that there is fair competition/ collaboration ith SN and other airlines.

.

This visa was created before Berxit, name and some rules changed in December 2014. But in deed, UK has on some side a strict visa policy.

Further problems on the LGW-KGL leg... The plane departed from Gatwick at 01:00 instead of 21:30. Which led to this apology from RwandAir:

Next try on 18 July. Let's hope that the infancy sickness will be over by that time.
