I wonder what will be the reaction of Air Arabia, knowing that the chairman is a Al Thani from Qatar royal family...

Re: June 2017 Gulf crisis: The World vs Qatar
Amazing situation: a relatively small difference in idea's and politics can lead almost overnight to a real crisis.
Apart from some political issues, I also feel it is a battle between the airlines of the Gulf countries.
All this airlines are heavily "sponsored" by their governments, and competing on exactly the same markets.
After hurting severly the European airlines on routes to Asia & Africa, now also TG, SQ & CX start to feel the heat. Losing money and reducing fleets, frequencies etc.
Now the Gulf airlines also start to bite each other.
Qatar has been very successful, and offers probably the best product and transit airport.
Are others suffering already, or just jaleous ??
It also shows how conflicts between "brother" countries can quickly degenerate .
No doubt USA will come with a solution (too much at stake..) and at the same time strenghten their position there.
Interesting development, hopefully not to many PAX will be victim of the whole situation??

Re: June 2017 Gulf crisis: The World vs Qatar
I guess the biggest group of "victims" are the passengers who fly between Qatar and the other gulf states, as the flights from Qatar to Europe and the gulf states to Europe aren't that much affected it seems.

Imagine the reaction in a western country if any of our governments would do this.
