This is the Irish flag, green on the left next to the flag pole. What you describe is the flag from Ivory Coast!
On an airplane the flag on the left side is painted in the right order while on the right side it's painted the opposite way, just like you would look at a real flag when it's flying in the wind.

You can see it in the Belgian registrations:

Viewed from the left: black - yellow - red
Viewed from the right: red - yellow - black

Thus in this case the correct order should be

Viewed from the left: green - white - orange
Viewed from the right: orange - white - green

Example (look at the flags):

Looks like it has the Irish flag on the fuselage...
Looks like a nice plane!

At first sight it seems like a mini-787, except for the very small engines. :)

I read only 1 plane is currently painted?
Will those other planes be repainted, later, or will they be replaced by brand new ones from the factory once ready?

EI-FWC is joining FWD to operate for SN but not in the SN livery.

The next two Cityjet SSJ100s coming from the factory will be painted in SN colours and replace the two aircraft currently flying for SN in Cityjet livery (EI-FWB and FWC)

Oeps sorry, I misunderstood.
You are correct indeed, it is to give the impression the flag is blowing in the wind when the aircraft is moving.
Well spotted!...

It seems that the first morning flight to NCE does not fly many PAX... just as the last flight from CPH?

I was on the last flight from CPH a couple of weeks ago (still on an Avro RJ100), and indeed there were barely 20 passengers. But such flights remain on the schedule because they carry a lot of people in the opposite direction.

Brussels Airlines takes over Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium, including two of its A320s and all of its 160 pilots and cabin crew.

that is the reason for all those extra 330's. Since they want to fly to North America, Caribbean, Asia and Africa

Yes only 10 pax, but it was 6:00 AM on a Sunday (and with the change to summertime it feels like 5AM)
