Bombardier plans to deliver 30 CSeries planes in 2017, after fewer-than-expected CSeries deliveries contributed to a weaker outlook for Canadian aerospace exports in 2016.

CSeries aircraft performing better than expected

Bombardier said it will increase the formal specifications for the CSeries CS300, as the aircraft’s per seat and trip costs have already proven 2% better than its original brochure values.

Following a series of test flights at its Wichita facility, Bombardier plans to bring one of its CS100 development aircraft to London City Airport (LCY) in the first quarter of 2017. A requirement of operations at LCY is a steep (5deg) approach in order to meet noise regulations specific to the airport with its short 1,199m runway.

SWISS expects to take delivery of at least 12 CS100s in 2017, as well as a first CS300 in the second quarter of 2017. The carrier still plans to have all its 30 CSeries by 2018.

After Embraer in Brazil complaining about unfair competition from Bombardier, ATR in Europe is also concerned that state cash injections received by Bombardier for its CSeries jet production could distort competition in the turboprop market.

A new Airbus vs Boeing story in the regional aircraft market?

Embraer supports Brazil formal request for consultations with the Canadian government at the World Trade Organization, in Geneva, regarding subsidies benefiting CSeries aircraft programme by Bombardier.

Nice touch added on the fuselage "the future of LCY".
Even beter would have been "the future of LCY & ANR" and that they would stop by on the way home....

Boeing asked the US government to investigate alleged subsidies and unfair pricing for the new CSeries, where Bombardier reportedly offered its planes to Delta Air Lines at an “absurdly low” US$19.6 million each.

After the A vs B saga, now a B vs B one?
