Who will get them ? Is the 787 a good option for SN ?
No, they want to have an all Airbus fleet so they won't go for 787. 787 is too expensive as well.

Then it is more likely that LH is going to get them when they start replacing their 747's.

Nobody will. They just cancelled the order, the planes haven't been built yet.

Is it impossible for SN to change completely to Boeing if they receive a good deal with them?

Even the A320 fleet is not so young so if Boeing give a good deal and SN change completely to Boeing is it crazy?
Hasta la victoria siempre.

Not impossible but a lot of extra work: all pilots have to be trained to be certified to fly those aircraft, same for cabin crew. Technicians need new licenses and qualifications to be able to work on Boeing, the whole logistics department will have to adapt since all parts will have to be for Boeing.
Will not happen imo.

And in the light of the merger by Lufthansa: they also have a lot more Airbus than Boeing (only 747's), so they won't be pushing to move to Boeing either.

My bet is that brussels airlines will stick on an all Airbus fleet for the long years to come... Don't forget also the interoperability with Eurowings (also flying Airbus planes).

Nothing is impossible... But it means a HUGE investment... One that far outweighs the benefits, if there are any... And why would you all of the sudden replace a fleet, where you are currently still introducing new aircraft into, in case of the A32F, to another brand? Just doesn't make sense.
As for the age... what do you mean with not so young? And how is that important? Jus look at SWISS. Everybody here is going on about their quality, and how it is a benchmark in the LH group... When the far majority of their A32F aircraft is far older than the oldest SN A32F...

Of course the title will be coming, if not there wouldn't be the B on the tail... it just that the aircraft is still (own/leased) by Edelweiss

It really makes no sense the replace the current fleet by Boeings (combo 737/787), the operating cost of the Airbus fleet is already quite low (partly thanks to the age of the aircraft). A roll-over from one OEM to another is an immense cost and completely unnecessary at this point. Synergies will also be rather limited within the LH Group then.

I don't know if it is in the planning to add an additional A330 in 2018. But in my opinion, it is more sensible to wait a year and to add an extra one in 2019, and add one the same standard of the replacement aircraft. Cabin outfitting etc is expensive enough that you do not want to keep it for just a couple of years and then replace it again.

I have no doubt that titles will be added. But I find it strange it wasn't done straight away during the paintslot. Now it will have to revisit the paintshop. At least, if it is to be done with some quality... Normally, if the titles are not to be shown yet, for one reason or another, they are painted on anyway, and covered up. Bit the same as the registration in the picture. So just a bit strange to me...

It is indeed quite strange, certainly since the titles are normally painted also. Wonder why this bird has left the shop without the titles, maybe they are going for decals so they can easily be removed in the future or replaced with something different?

Anyway, there are other things missing also: brusselsairlines.com, the Belgian and European flag and the Star Alliance logo (think everything is painted except for the *A logo which is a decal if I remember correctly?).

Yet, the Belgian registration is painted, hence the decal with the current registration covering the Belgian one.

Quite curious about the reason :)
