Some news about SHS Aviation from Slovenia
___
Maribor airport operator sold to Chinese capital-controlled SHS Aviation
Business, 21 Dec 2016 / By Sta

Maribor - The operator of the Maribor airport has been sold to SHS Aviation, a company registered in Slovenia but backed by Chinese capital.

The trade union-controlled savings bank Delavska hranilnica received EUR 6m on Wednesday, adding to the EUR 1m SHS Aviation wired a part of the money through Rim Projekt, while the rest of the sum was transferred directly to Delavska hranilnica through a notary account.

While Delavska hranilnica only received EUR 7m for the operator, Večer wrote that it was a good deal, since the bank only invested around EUR 3m in the company, including a recapitalisation, since late 2014, when it acquired Aerodrom.

Touching on today's report by daily Večer that SHS Aviation was to pay Rim Projekt EUR 10m for the takeover, while the bank only got EUR 7m, Bobek said that the extra EUR 3m were held at a neutral account and would be transferred when and if Aerodrom Maribor gets a long-term lease for the airport's infrastructure.

A public call for bids was published by the Infrastructure Ministry last week and will expire at the end of January.

Should everything go as planned, Bobek believes that the extra money would be used for the development and operations of the airport. He moreover rejected the possibility of the money being used for any kind of commissions.

Isn't this the 2017-topic? :)
As from the 2016-topic at http://luchtzak.be/forums/viewtopic.php ... 94#p343794:

I'm not sure about the exact rules, but could this mean the AOC has been granted?

The planes in question are: OO-VLI, OO-VLJ, OO-VLN, OO-VLO, OO-VLQ, OO-VLS, OO-VLZ.
It's more 6.5 Fokker 50's, as OO-VLO is stored in ANR but has been cannibalized for parts if I'm not mistaken.
As for the other previous VLM aircraft:
OO-VLF: now known as PH-DMT? (Vizionair Livery?)
OO-VLL: parked at Memmingen?
OO-VLM: now known as PH-VLM, owned by Denim air?
OO-VLP: now known as PH-DMS? last flight was to RTM, Vizionair Livery?
OO-VLL became PH-DMD and OO-VLM became PH-VLM, both in these pictures at KEF, but according to FR24 they flew to YHZ, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and flight numbers are by SXI, Southern Cross International.

OO-VLF became PH-DMT and OO-VLP became PH-DMS and according to https://www.planespotters.net/productio ... tus=future they are due to be delivered to SkyGreenland.

News from Slovenia:

The new owners of Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport, the Chinese-backed SHS Aviation, who last year became part-owners of Belgium's VLM Airlines as well, following the carrier's bankruptcy, are likely to move the company to the Slovenian city in order for it to restart operations. SHS recently registered VLM Airlines Slovenia with two of its board members, Siu Yin Pang and Yeung Gillian Yuen, also serving as directors of SHS Aviation Slovenia. Mr Yin Pang is expected to become the General Manager of Maribor Airport in the near future. VLM Airlines still owns seven Fokker 50 aircraft, which could be moved to Maribor. ...

So VLM Airlines doesn't get a Belgian AOC thus they are trying it in another country?

So the aircraft will be re-registered as S5-VL*, or is that not necessary?

VLM will stay in Antwerp, and will continue to operate out of Antwerp.

All seven F50 aircraft are in the Belgian Federal Government Civil Aircraft Register under OO-VL* and assigned to SHS Antwerp Aviation with address in Antwerp Airport

That's the current situation. But if VLM moves to Slovenia (or gets registered in Slovenia), do they need to move the aircraft as well? Or can they fly Belgian airplanes as a Slovenian company?

Yes, but Ryanair and Easyjet don't have their aircraft registered as OO-***, right? Hence the question:

About the other ex-VLM Fokkers spotted in Iceland

And they continued their flight towards Panama City. Anyone knows where they're heading next? Who tey'll be delivered to? Air Panama has a fleet of a few Fokker 50's...

Looks all very dodgy to me. Looks like the "new vlm" will be something completely new and different than we had all in mind. And there is still no AOC!!!!

Could be with flights from Maribor to China.
Meanwhile VLM could do the transfers from Maribor to major European cities with F50 fleet.

Hi,

Vizionair stated on facebook that fokker-flights can be booked and will be resumed from february 1 !

Guess we have an answer regarding ops of VLM?

Will the Cityjet to LCY change again to F50 or will it still be the ATR42 for some years ?

you mean the message that was posted on Nov, 30th. regarding OO-VLP?? Which by now is sold to Sky Greenland as PH-DMS... Gives no answer to future VLM ops if you ask me... Only more uncertainty regarding VLM as VizionAir is expanding it's offering with Saab2000, ATR72, CRJ200 all around Europe and then maybe ex OO-VLP F50 from Feb. 1th. by ??... Sky Greenland ???
