In fact nothing between Boston and LA. Two weeks on a business trip. In two parts: One part East ending in Ohio and a second in California, starting 4' days later. We took the opportunity to make a road trip through the Mid-West and crossing the Rocky Mountains. We flew already so many times in the US and it 's a trip you don't do every day. So a little bit 'one upon a time in the West'

First time I gonna fly on the LX 777. Missed one of their first 777 flights last year by changing last minute from LAX to SFO, ending up on one of the old A340`s.

You'll probably find out that the old A340 is way more comfortable than the new 777.

The ´real off-work` trip starts in Ohio. Otherwise too far to do in 4 days.
The A340 is indeed a nice plane, although I found the LH configuration better than the LX.
Flew the 777 several times with CX, BA and UA. They were OK. Especially UA in C was a pleasant surprise. definitely compared to their Y class.

I've seen passengers' eardrums burst during descend on flights, extremely painfull experience. Once a 17 year old guy went into cardiac arrest from the pain/anxiety. Not to be messed with :/

Absolutely right, Sean. I had to get to the dr with the same symptoms at Schiphol on a transfer from BRU to ORD. He has forbidden me to continue and I had to return by car or train, not by plane. Even the short flight from BRU to AMS was really painful. He said it would have been irresponsable, risky and painful to continue on a trans-Atlantic flight.

Hi,

I had a diving accident few years ago and since then I really need very precautions for my ears !
For every flight to make your ears and nose clean enough so the pressure can equal I take a few days before CIRRUS tablets and DEXORHINO-spray, this combination helped me through all flights, I didn't had any pain only twice a few hours of a strange hearing.
The tablets are free of doctors advice... Dexorhino is only on doctors advise !
Maybe it can help some members also

AMS-WAW on KLM (never been to WAW).

WAW-AMS on KLM
AMS-NCL on KLM.

Four holiday flights instead of two is something to look forward to, even if they're only 737s
