An airplane was stuck for three hours Sunday on the tarmac of Brussels Airport as two people had boarded without boarding passes, said Thursday NIEUWS VTM . The two men were accompanying a sick passenger to the terminal A for a flight to Rome. At the security gates , the patient scanned his boarding pass and the two men took the opportunity to sneak between the doors . They also managed to escape the attention of the latest controllers just before boarding the plane. They were finally identified once on board the aircraft . The captain then refused to take off and has made all passengers leave the aircraft.

It seems it was a Vueling flight ?
This is why we check boarding passes of all passengers entering the aircraft. Eventhough you get the occasional: AGAIN?!? from passengers ;)

I can only agree, we had the exact same procedure: Doors that were used as an entry were manned at all times, and all boarding cards were checked.
Although I certainly won't claim this kind of thing never ever could have happened at "our" airline... There's only so much you can do.

"Het Juridisch Loket", a Dutch foundation that is sponsored by the Dutch Department of Justice and the European Consumer Centre, has issued a warning against "CasaSky = http://www.casasky.net", a German booking engine that has sold lots of unvalid tickets out of Brussels, Dusseldorf and Amsterdam towards Nador and other destinations in Morocco.

"CasaSky is... a sky castel", the Juridisch Loket warns. Only possibility to get your money back is to file a complaint with your credit card company for fraud.

The Dutch Weather Bureau announced a code yellow for today, and they have it.
Since noon, only one runway is in use at AMS: 27.

The real cause for the divertions is the lack of extra fuel, not the weather.
Time for KRO to make another show!

Actually, it was weather causing the problems today. Most of the time, only one runway was in use (27) for both take offs and for landings. There were multiple go-arounds, all of them reporting windshear as reason. Most incoming aircraft had to go into holding first, and departure delays were more then one hour.

Emirates EK-148 - an A380 - queued / lined up for departure. When they were finally entering the runway and they received take off clearance with last weather update, the crew announced they were unhappy with that weather. So they've cancelled their take off, exited the runway and lined up again to take of half an hour later:

Transavia HV-5068 from Gerona to Rotterdam had to do a go-around at RTM, and then went into a holding above RTM for half an hour. The aircraft then diverted to Amsterdam, and had also had to do a go-around there because of windshear. After an additional one hour in total, they called low on fuel and landed on their third landing attempt of the day (1 at RTM, 2 at AMS).

And finally, this KLM ERJ-190 had two go-arounds at AMS, then aborted a third landing attempt at AMS and diverted to BRU:

And meanwhile, both tramways at downtown Amsterdam and railways in the province were stopped because the Dutch weather bureau had upscaled Code Yellow into Code Red.

To make this kind of on topic: this 777-300ER didn't divert to Brussels today: after half an hour holding and one go-around, they've landed at AMS:

BEL2GP (SN3737 BRU-AGP) squawked 7700 (General Emergency) earlier this evening.
The aircraft was OO-SSH, and it is on the ground in TLS currently. Judging by the rather shallow rate of descent, I don't think there was a pressurisation problem.

Return flight SN3738 (scheduled arrival in BRU 23h25) is now cancelled.

It was an engine problem.

Looks like it's still in TLS. Should be no problem getting spare parts there. ;)

Seems like Jetair's OO-JVA got stuck in Antwerp yesterday afternoon, missing the outbound Malaga (and subsequent AGP->OST) flight. Departed from ANR around 10:30LT this morning, for a positioning flight to OST, messing up the schedule of all OST & ANR sectors planned for "Jewel" today.
