OO-SFZ is grounded in Nairobi since 29 december! The engine's problem seems difficult to repair. Any news concerning this incident? Today flight to Yaounde and Douala is operated by Hifly A 340-300.

The incident is reported in The Aviation Herald:

Brussels A332 at Nairobi on Dec 29th 2014, engine shut down in flight

A Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration OO-SFZ performing flight SN-453 from Nairobi (Kenya) to Brussels (Belgium), was climbing out of Nairobi's runway 06 when the crew stopped the climb at about FL235 due to an engine (PW4168) failure. The crew shut the engine down, entered a hold at FL100 to burn off fuel and returned to Nairobi for a safe landing on runway 06 about 150 minutes after departure.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Nairobi (standing Jan 4th 2015 17:00Z).

SFZ flew today from Nairobi to Lisbon (SN9953). Final repair or directly for D check?
SFU is still in Lisbon since early December but will reach Brussels in the coming days, I presume.

United's UA-44 Newark-Brussels (07 Jan 2015) was accelerating for take off when the right engine of the 777 emitted a loud bang, forcing the crew to reject takeoff.

Bromma Airport (BMA) in Stockholm is without power since more than one hour. Flights are diverted to Arlanda (ARN). Flight SN2307 (RJ100 OO-DWF) is currently en-route to BMA. Where will it land is everybody's guess...

Edit: I barely had finished writing this post when I learned that power had been restored at BMA: flights can land again! Good for OO-DWF.

LH2284 (MUC-BRU, E195) did a GA this morning while attempting to land on RWY19.
Went back North towards Bruno then gave up, went SE then East and diverted to CGN.
Other flights continued landing on RWY19.

Incidentally the previous LH2282 from MUC, STA 0810, had been cancelled.

My landing with FR2984 from FCO on RWY19 this morning at 01:00 was also difficult. One could feel the strong winds shaking the plane.

L’aéroport de Charleroi a dû fermer samedi matin entre 6h30 et 9h15 en raison des chutes de neige abondantes, indique son porte-parole Vincent Grassa. Cette fermeture provoque de nombreux retards.

Charleroi closed this morning until 09.15, because of the snow - many delays, of course ...

SN1255 BRU-DKR (A330-300 OO-SFM) seems to be diverting to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria right now. SN1205 (also BRU-DKR, A330-300 OO-SFO) was flying right above SN1255 at the same time...

Edit! SN1255 landed at LPA.

Meanwhile, OO-SFM continues her journey - so probably a medical divertion?
