Brussels Airlines prepares for Tomorrowland

Post by sn26567 »

After a successful first collaboration in 2012, Brussels Airlines and Tomorrowland join forces again this year to meet the great foreign demand that the festival has known for years now.

The world comes together at Tomorrowland, reuniting more than 200 nationalities this summer for a magical experience at “De Schorre” in Boom, near Antwerp. Last year, Brussels Airlines brought 2000 festival goers from 17 different European cities to Belgium, on 25 flights in total. This year the collaboration is taken a step further: Brussels Airlines organizes 140 flights departing from 70 destinations all over the world towards Brussels Airport to bring party goers to Tomorrowland. Under the name Global Journey, Tomorrowland and Brussels Airlines offered 13.000 all-in festival packages, including flight (or train) and hotel stay or camping, which were sold out in a matter of hours.

The demand for the flights departing from Basel was so big that the airline decided to exceptionally schedule A330-200 aircraft on these routes. Because it is highly unusual that a long haul plane flies a European route, there was a big interest among aviation enthusiasts to experience this flight. Brussels Airlines gladly arranged for them to fly along towards Basle.

Brussels airlines is in full preparation for these flights, because the festival visitors can expect a real Tomorrowland atmosphere on the flights to Brussels. The flights from Basel will be turned into real party flights, with live dj’s on board, like on last year's Barcelona-Brussels flight (video 2012 attached)

On the festival Brussels Airlines will be present again with a giant ferris wheel, the Cloud Rider, from which people can enjoy the best views over the fairy tale landscape of Tomorrowland. Every visitor can take a ride (or two) on the Cloud Rider.

For the Belgians Brussels Airlines is giving away a unique Tomorrowland package. Two lucky people can go to Tomorrowland in style, by entering a contest on their Facebook page: the winner will be picked up by a limousine at home, receive 2 tickets for the entire festival weekend and enjoy a comfortable Relax Room at the camping. Participating is possible until Tuesday 16 July.
