During the war was that also a very important reason, next to the fact that no one wanted to go to Abidjan. But now the main reason is the lack of customers, but of course they are not going to say: "We will not fly as long as we don't have enough passengers" that doesn't sound as "good" as saying that the safety of your staff/pax can't be guaranteed.
There are bodies everywhere in Abidjan, everything has been looted, the economy is close to level 0.
Just realize that five to six thousands french expats account for 35% of the I.C economy and they lost EVERYTHING. Not sure they'll want to invest in that "country" any time soon...
I guess the new Govt will cry for Western help (=$$$€€€) that's what Africa is all about.
