Het Parool reports that AF/KLM as of april 1st (I'm sure it's not a joke though) will require a second ticket from passengers who do not fit into a seat. The test is that both armrests should be able to move freely. The passenger does get a 25% discount, and can get a refund if the flight is not fully booked.
Now I'm wondering whether airlines will start installing narrower seats so more people will have to buy extra tickets?

Re: AF/KLM introduces obligatory 2nd ticket for the obese
have you ever been next to a fat person in an a/c?
people start flaming about discrimination now because they can't help it being fat because of illness (or because they are lazy) but its oke to discriminate tall people, its oke for fat people to steal away part of your seat area etc.
i'm pro AF/KL in this case and hope all other airlines will follow

AF/KLM forgot to mention that as from 1 April all anorexia passengers will fly 50 % if they are sitting together on one chair.
