The Belgian Air Force has chartered numerous times an ADB AN124 for various long haul missions.Atlantis wrote:according to someone of the 15th Wing even the tarmac is not strong enough for a full loaded A330
These AN124s were always loaded at Melsbroek. The fact that an AN124 was called in, suggests that there was a need for a substantial payload and that the AN124 also departed with this payload.
I remember a C-5 being parked at Melsbroek during the late Eighties.
I think that also the Japan Air Force B744s were parked at Melsbroek a few years ago.
Why would there now be a problem with an A330, while in the past we have seen other heavies passing through Melsbroek seemingly without causing any problems?
