Where will you fly in 2008?

Dear all,

Start with this new topic ... (since I started planning for next year :D )

Nothing really fixed yet ... (and only part of what I need to do ...). Note that I need to be at different places but that I try to use a combination of planes/trains whenever possible/feasible (Munich >> Salzburg; Stockholm >> Gävle).

regards,
Danny

Good idea Danny !! I made the topic a sticky.

Looking good, Danny!

I assume (when I see the destinations) that there are some business trips included?
Combing bflex with blight is a bit strange...only logical to me seems a combined code share flight with a "real" SN flight?

At this moment following is planned for me:

mar/08 Brussels-Barcelone-Brussels SN SN ??
may/08 Brussels-Venice-Brussels (over Frankfurt) LH LH
june/08 Brussels-Prague-Brussels OK OK
sep/08 Brussels-Rome-Brussels AZ AZ ??

Take care!

Kind regards,
Tommy

Not so strange: I take flex when I need it and not when I don't: e.g. no need for flexibility since everything fixed, no need for breakfast, ... However, nothing is final yet. Only for Port of Spain, I've booked my flights already ...

It is clear I will need to do more travelling in 2008 ...

Regards,
D

Ok, then I can understand!
Normally when I combine bflex one way with blight one way the rates are mostly more expensive (or not so much difference) as when combining bflex with bflex. Probably the reason is the lack of blight booking classes available anymore while making the booking.
The big advantage of those SN fare is that they are one ways...something maybe MA and OK may consider!

The reasons why choosing LH over SN:

1. SN was more expensive in blight...some 90EUR and as LH is a full service airline...(for the moment)
2. Miles and More card
3. Never flown in 737-500 before (bizar)
4. The more flights the more is the fun...(at least for me)

Cheers,
Tommy

Currently planned:

10/03 Brussels - Sharm El Sheikh with Thomas Cook
19/03 Sharm El Sheikh - Brussels with Thomas Cook

Also most probably some trips in ULM/Cessna from Grimbergen and Baisy-Thy too...

And maybe some spottingtrips to God knows where :)

I'm not going anywhere this year, but next year.... man-dxb emirates 777........ dxb-syd-auk - emirates A380... got my seat booked forward of the wing port side, new cameras - dlr and video, this is going to be a long ride and I am determined to enjoy it 2dmax. :D . in the meantime Flight sim will have to do - mind you whizzing around TNCM will give me my fixx until February. ;)

oh hopefully Whanganui and Whenuapai on the visit list. There must be more places/airfields to see in 3 weeks, any ideas? and dont forget sydney - hmm looking forward to going back there again. Just wish I did this for a living dont you? :)

Have quite some long hauls planned but i believe these two are the most important:

EK 201 DXBJFK 0830 1415 A380 15oct

SQ 377 MXPSIN 1250 0740 B77W 28nov¶
SQ 221 SINSYD 2040 0735 A380 29nov

SQ also had a connection at 0940 in the morning on 747, but specifically asked to book this flight just be on the 380......
On EK even got a nice ticket in F -- so let's see if i can shower!!!!

Will keep you posted

In this order:
1) pleasure
2) tourism
3) spotting (but not photo-spotting in the common way)
No business, just for fun ...

First time long haul for me...

Brussels - Abu Dhabi - Bangkok with Etihad on 8 Oct and return on the 27 October.
First leg with an A330 and the Bangkok leg with a B777-300.

I will surely enjoy this !
