comparison of ai traffic packages

Post by teddybAIR »

Hi all,

Recently my computer crashed and I lost all the data I had on it...including everything that was fs2004 related. I am currently in the process of re-installing everything and would like to take the opportunity to review the choices I made in the past.

The ai traffic I had was the one from project-ai and I must say I was only partially happy with it: the planes did not look realistic at all! After a quick search on the internet I found a few other possibilities such as World of ai and Mytraffic 2006.

I was wondering whether you guys are using one of these packages or even another package, and which one would be the best choice.

Can you guys give me some advice here? I remember from a long time ago that Yaroslav had very nice ai traffic, but I don't recall which package it was.

Thanks for your help!

Is world of AI exhaustive? On first sight, I don't see Brussels Airlines in the list...

are there any other packages?
and do you have an image to illustrate the quality?

Many thanks in advance!
Wishing you great landings!

You can see some AI screenshots on my website www.stegoweb.net in the "Filghtsim" menu.

Most of the screenshots are planes used by World Of AI (Aardvark, FsPainter, EvolveAI...) because WOAI is the best.

I 'm using a modified Brussels Airlines package of the Italian Ai Traffic Project.

I have not many experience with AI traffic, cause I fly online with IVAO.

But I have to say that I liked PAI cause it was easy to install, framerate friendly and a large ammount of paints and models. But when I look to world of AI, I think this is a very nice addon for your flightsim.

Hi Alex,

I'll try to write a procedure because the installation is rather complex.
The only thing I need is some free time...
Maybe Sunday !

Whatever you do, don't pay for your AI. WOAI is the best, and it's free. It's very easy to add airlines that they don't do aswell, like Brussels Airlines etc.

Could you help us on how to add airlines that are not done by World of AI?

I must say that I am very impressed with WoAI! The level of detail is great for AI traffic. Although I have the feeling that they din't install that many flightplans though...

Best regards and many thanks for your replies!
Tom

Hi all,

I uploaded the AI installation instructions to my website.
=> Take a visit to www.stegoweb.net .
You can find the documents in the "Flightsim" - "My AI traffic" or "Mijn AI verkeer" menu.

Best regards,

Stego
