Delivery of the OO-JAF B738

Post by JAF-195 »

Hey everybody,
As we all know, the brand new Jetairfly boeing 737-800W will be delivered on Monday July 9th.
That will be a very nice event at BRU and a very nice spotting and photo opportunity. It would be even better if anyone know when it will arrive at BRU. What's the schedule?

By the way, congratulations to Jetairfly for this new airplane.

Greetz,

Alex

last info is an arrival around 8 AM on the 10th in BRU(leaving Seattle on the 9th). Of course this time can change around a bit...It will only be 100% sure when it's in the air, and even then... (fuelstop or no fuelstop).

A fuelstop will be necessary. The range of a -800 is +- 5000km, and the distance between BFI and BRU is +- 10.000 km.

Is there somebody who has the flightnumber for this delivery flight?

This range is with pax, not empty. And it also depends of the wind situation.

Rutger,

The OO-VAS made it direct from Seattle to BRU. The OO-VAC had to make a fuel stop as a little tailwind component was lacking to continue to proceed to BRU :!:

+ I think JAFflyer knows what he's talking about :P

Yes I agree ! It's the reason why the delivery flight of the first 777-300ER of Jet Airways has landed with a delay of 8 hours on 1 May.

Yup, without a sufficient tailwind component, the new beauty cannot make it direct.

Off topic too but if I remember well the ferry flight of the OO-VAS was about 10h15 long!

Thanks, I forgot to take that into account

But let's hope it does land a bit later (around 10:00 would be great :D )

Well, normally I would go the 10th, so if he lands a bit later I can take some photos. I hope it does land later.

Damn, tomorrow I'm off to Egypt...
I was hoping to see it arrive today.

But then again, soon I'll fly on it anyway. Looking forward to it! Never flown on a brand new a/c!
