Why do you assume that the new B772 will dispatched on the flights to/from BRU? CO has x routes to fly with x B772s. The new B772 will be part of a whole schedule structure and will most likely visit BRU, just like all other B772s in the CO fleet.

CO doesn't have sub-versions of the B772, which means that every aircraft can be dispatched to every B772 destination. This is not the case for all airlines, operating the same aircraft type in different configurations for different markets.

Exactly the opposite is true for CO's B767-400 fleet. Certain B764 aircraft have a high density lay-out and are operated on the Hawaii runs ("Continental Micronesia"). The biggest part of CO's B764 aircraft are configured in a low-density lay-out (with more BusinessFirst seats), and are dispatched to destinations like BRU. That's why certain CO B764s never visit BRU.

It seems they're all very proud of the first 777 service to BRU!

777-200 will be used on EWR-BRU from March 28 2007. Now confirmed on Continental Airlines website.

Just saw that COA 61 EBBR-KEWR (Newark) was diverted to KBOS (Logan) yesterday...Anyone know why??

I just checked the flightplan. It was filed to BOS, so it doesn't look like a diversion.

No further details
