Emergency landing in BRU?

Post by Stij »

Apparently a Boeing from an American Airliner with 109 passengers made a safe emergency landing at 9:00 this morning in BRU. Does somebody know more?

What company was this plane from? Did the plane take off from Brussels?

The AA flight coming from New York landed at 8h51. Since the plane was on his way to EBBR anyway (so this was not a diversion), I guess it will be this one. The departure of this plane is also delayed.

At this very moment (17h30 BRU), www.biac.be/departures still announces for AA171 BRU-JFK: scheduled departure 10h10 delayed to 12h00 and still delayed at 17h30.

Is that delayed from Thursday 10h10 till Friday 12h00, or is it a BIAC website error?

109 passengers? How come these flights have such a low load factor?
