SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express going together

Post by BrusselsNick »

Hello everbody ,

We all know now that VEX and SN are going together and going to form one new company.

Now , I heard much new anouncements of names and new colourschemes , but does anyone know specifically what the new name and coulour scheme is going to be?

I heard and saw a new paint of SABENA , somebody said me that thats the new name and paint for the new company.

I'd like to know more , because i'm very curious!

greats and regards,

Nick ( Still a big Sabena fan 8) )

Only 8 people (of course also SN Brussels Airlines' chairman Etienne Davignon) know the new companyname (according to CEO Burrows in an article), start your guessing what the new name will be ;-)

hello ,

The name that spread was back SABENA , that would be very nice , so Sabena can live back in our eyes and minds ,

I've already seen the new paint but a friend of my has send me the drawing of it , but I couldn't find the URL , i'll keep looking for it.

But yeah , what would you choose Sn brussels Express , virgin Brussels , Sn virgin Airlines , brussels express,...

I don't have a thought ! :?

I hope they reveal their new name and colors soon

greats ,

Nick

An article in La Libre Belgique a few weeks back said that the name Sabena had been definitively rejected, according to sources close to SN Airholding. A pity!

Forget any name with Virgin in it, as the name Virgin Express has to be gone next year anyway... They would have to pay big €€€ for the virgin franchise.

Anyone who can use photoshop can make a new paint sheme. We'll have to wait until octobre for the new name & color sheme. I certainly hope they keep the S-tail!

If I'm correct, SN already announced that they will keep the 'Lazy S'.

It's only today that I noticed that Sabena Technics no longer holds the S-tail in their commercial logo.

That's something else. Sabena Technics' owner is TAT, they don't have bands with SNBA.
Sabena Technics is just a company for maintenance of aircrafts. SNBA is a client of Sabena Technics.

My intuition never lets me down, and it says: Sabena European and Sabena African Airways

Just like Sabena Flight Academy has changed the S in their logo... I suppose it has to do with legal issues.

I believe it would cost way too much to buy the "SABENA"-name from the trusteeship.

Why do you think that? Is there a fixed price to buy the name, or do they just have to come to an agreement?
