Syrianair resumed service from Damascus to Baghdad after a 25 year interruption. The airline stopped operating this route in 1980 when the countries broke off diplomatic ties. A Boeing 727-200 was used for the inaugural flight and Syrianair will operate 3 flights a week. Syrian air is one of the rare Airlines that still fly B727's .
