Topic did already pass the revue overhere, unbelievable

Btw did anyone catch the Tarom billboard underside? Word "Tarom" was written from wing to wing.

Yes Skystef, remember it very well on the IL18's, B1-11's and IL62's.
I even remember the Sabena billboards on their DC.6/7's, also from wing to wing. I've never known the reason for it but I guess it had to do with their operations in Africa.

Best regards,

Does AZ have billboards on the bottom side of the wing? I know they do have on the topside.

Besides Emirates, I can only recall Tarom and Sabena in the European skies...

Wasn't aware, as these airframes were put aside before I was born. It would be nice if someone can post a picture of it as well.

Skystef, what type of lens did you use to capture an image of a plane flying at 30,000 feet?

Where was this plane flying to?

Heading west, taken near EBBR around 1215 local on August 18 2005. Somebody an idea which flight this could be?

Digital 500mm (= 800mm analogue) of a Sigma 50-500 APO DG.

With this lens and a little bit of luck you can obtain some decent shots, another one taken with blurring heat conditions, heading southeast back to ELLX.

indeed, with the 50-500, contrailshooting can be fun, sometimes I can even read the reg from the bottom of the wing

Corendon's TC-TJA has the same kind of billboard advertising on the plane's belly.

Bottie is correct (in my opinion), must be the World Airways aircraft.

Shot was taken back in July 2005, so American & Delta are not possible.
Bottie was correct: MD11 of World, the one in retro c/s.
