The rate for Luchtzak- members is in belgian cheese and beer... and a copy of the best digital pictures.

Chiang Mai airport is located at the foot of Doi Sutep. This is a mountain, actually the last mountain of the Eastern Himalayas, overlooking the city of Chiang Mai. Situated perfectly for a majestic view of Chiang Mai and the surrounding mountains. From the slopes of the mountain one has a panoramic view of the airport... and you can see airplanes take off and land from a higher level... So to say you're looking down on the planes as from bird-eye-view.

For little money you can fly to Mae Hongson (<20Euro), or drive to there in the mountain... as this airfield was once classief number 4 of the world most dangerous landing strips. (The middle of the runway is higher then the thresholds.
