Jet Airways to BRU ?

Post by website-info »

Hi All,

I have it on good 'authority' (from a man down the pub  ) that Jet AIrways will commence A340 operations from Mumbai and Chennai to New York via Brussels in 2005 (not sure of the month yet). Hopefully I can find out more next week in Johannesburg as that is where their 3 A340's are currently being prepared.

Hi Tony,

Any idea which A340's are being prepared?

D-AIMF and D-AIMG would have been a possibility, but those aircraft are going to SW...

Woops, we were writing our post at the same time, Tony ;)

Just read on airliners.net that the 3 A343's will come from SA...

Whatever happened to Jet Airways acquiring the Boeing 777? Has it been shelved? And when is Jet airways hangar opening in Bombay?

It seems that 9W won't come as sooner as expected:

don't believe all you read on Airliners.net !!!! VERY HIGH sources in JNB have comfirmed what I posted and as it's their aircraft being used and they are responsible for maintenance in NYC I think they would be the first to know what is what and when is when............

Assuming 9W recieves the 3 A343s from SAA, it should be able to manage a daily BOM-LHR service with one of them (or two if necessary) and use one on the BOM-BRU-NYC sector, since they only have a 3x authority on the route.

Hopefully 9W updates their site (www.jetairways.com) soon with the schedules of the
BOM-SIN
MAA-KUL
BOM-LHR

sectors soon as they are due to start in April[/url]

:offtopic:

I think now action can be expected because Naresh Goyal has now been elected to the international community. A first for a private airline  Another first for India.

His voice will be heard

Maybe Prince Philip can help restore the dammage (caused by the "aviation-minded" Belgian government) during his trip to India.

I think Belgium is still far from being an attractive logistic paradise for foreign companies to start up operations and employ people here.
