I am sure you know they gonna use those aircraft to the limit (as everybody would) and again, those nice tools with winglets will have to fuelstop before reaching their goals!!!
On top of that, didn't Sobelair pay for those winglets and aren't those winglets now a standard on all 737-800? (not sure about that...)
On the B738, those winglets are not standard. And having them fitted is quit expensive. That's the reason why airline cy's are making well-thought-out calcullations in respect to cost efficiency on life-time and use on routes (performance wise).
Andre,
I don't think Aldo V is stupid. He has been a very successful businessman and he is taking the rioght decisions for Sobelair, e.g. let the DSF lease run to its end and than take another lease at much lower cost, rather than renegotiate the current DSF lease at an intermediate cost.
Also let his staff be afraid of bankruptcy in order to have them accept a salary reduction, so that he can succesfully negotiate an agreement with SN BA.
I don't think that 'Also let his staff be afraid of bankruptcy in order to have them accept a salary reduction, so that he can succesfully negotiate an agreement with SN BA.' will work.
Look at Sabena the pilots striked the very last day(ridiculous) and they went bankrupt.
It is like somebody else said before, there still is a 'Sabena mentality or spirit' in the Sobelair people.
You might not have enough money to run out this lease, it might be too late.

Thats nice, why is SNBA not buying a 737-800?? For flights in Europe and to Dakar!!

Thanks for this first view, OO-VEX. Those horrendous TUI/JetAir colours, when it could have proudly shown the original latest Sobelair colours inherited from Sabena
thanks for this great shot.
I like the new tui colours, but I also like the old Sabena colours, that's why I'm glad that the second B738 is painted in the new Tui livery
There is a gossip going on that they colour all the aircrafts in blue so that after the 'future bankruptcy' it is easier to add new titles on it iso doing a whole repaint... Just a rumour though...
