Wasn't that the plan anyway , to sell SnBA in 2006?
Let's take things in sequence:
1) Richard Branson will certainly not take over SN BA, as he is now trying to disinvest from the merged SN BA-VEX structure.
2) The current shareholders of SN Airholding (Fortis, KBC, Dexia, UCB, Tractebel/Electrabel, Solvay, the Brussels region, the Walloon region, BIAC, etc.) have always said they wanted to get out, whether in 2006 or at any other time that will give them a larger profit (or rather a smaller loss) on their investment. Who will take over their share? Nobody knows. SN Air Holding has 92% of SN BA (the remaining 8% still belong to Sabena, or rather the Sabena coordination centre SIC.
3) BA has said in the past that they might take a small share of SN BA.
4) SN BA still needs to repay a big loan from the Belgian State. How this will happen is also unknown.

Indeed, a big investor with large pockets would be very welcome.

what SN Brussels Airlines needs is an urgent invester to take over the company and a brandnew management.
Very true !
And while we are at suggestions, I think the company shoud urgently take the advice of top consultancy experts to help it navigate in such troubled waters..
Air France's president (Christian Blanc I think) did not hesitate at the time to call for such expertise when the company was on the verge of collapse not so many years ago !
Of course it costs but if the expertise is of the expected quality, then it certainly is worthwhile !

A silver lining in the cloud. Things are taking shape for the better for SNBA. They got an award from Travel Magazine.

Nice things happen to nice airlines. And SNBA is a nice one.
Aum Sweet Aum.

It must be acknowledged to SNBA that the european market is a difficult one nowadays , most of the european airlines compensating losses on this market by profits on the intercontinental routes.
So SNBA has more merit for making a profit here !
