On SN’s homepage it shows they are resuming Kyiv (KBP) again from December. Will they fly the route instead of Ukraine International (PS)? I know they work together on the route

Volotea appeals the tender for air connections out of Oviedo (Asturias), Spain, because it leaves it “without options”. The budget of the Principality is €9.3 million and requires flights with aircraft offering more than 180 seats (the capacity of its A320s) until 2025 to London, Brussels, Milan, Dusseldorf, Lisbon, and Barcelona.

I guess you're talking about Ryanair flights?
SN really dropped off from Poland. No direct flights anymore. To WAW they had in the past a few flights per day. Now is everything at least with 1 stop

And LOT flies mostly with E-jets which are often fully booked. I don't understand why SN is not relaunching at least one daily flight to WAW. It seems they prefer Ukraine to Poland!

I also don't understand this. Before Corona the flights of SN were also quite full to WAW, but now no flights anymore.
But the same with LOT, also not much direct flights in Europe. It's really searching for direct flights

But fligts were profitable for SN ?

LOT has a good network to Asia. I have just looked for a BRU Tokyo via WAW for November 2021. BRU timetables perfect match with some LOT flights to Asia.

SN long haul network is mainly focused on Africa. It's not probably the biggest market for Poland. Furthermore, Poland is well linked to few popular Africans destinations for Polish people (North Africa and East Africa) with LOT, Lucky Air and Enter Air (they serve Zanzibar with their B737-800s from WAW with a fuel stop in Egypt).

Probably a large part of people traveling on SN beetween BRU and WAW was point to point. With Ryanair and Wizz Air on the route (ok they serve CRL) it was probably hard for SN to make money, while LOT can make money on BRU-WAW thanks to its hub with flights to China, India, Singapour, Japan, South Korea

I believe with LOT you have a large amount of connections to the rest of Poland/Baltics/Ukraine too
For me, LOT is often the cheapest option connecting to Tallinn, so I'm indeed not sure how profitable it is for SN (without the connections and with the lower prices)

To Ukraine yo also have less competition, Poland has lots of Ryanair flights (not only Warsaw) and LOT, it's less too Ukraine which is a larger country
