Luxair is mulling the Boeing 737 MAX to renew the fleet of its current four B737-700s. The first two MAX are expected in summer 2023, on lease. The DCH8s will also be gradually replaced in 2024 or 2025, with the A220 or the E2. Also on ANR-LCY?

The 2 MAX8 that are joining the fleet in 2023 are no replacement for the 737-700s. They are extra capacity, bringing the 737 fleet to 10 frames. And they are much needed for their routes to DXB, DSS & co.

The 737-700’s will eventually be replaced by similar capacity AC, that would be the A220 or the E2’s. Nothing confirmed at this stage though.
