ASL Airlines United Kingdom has received its AOC and its Operating License from the UK CAA, becoming the world’s newest cargo airline. An ATR72-200F, serial 265, flew from Belfast to East Midlands. The carrier is applying for an EASA TCO authorisation for cargo flights from the UK to Europe.

ASL Aviation Holdings has closed a new debt facility with Goldman Sachs. The agreement makes US$125 million available to ASL to be drawn down as required. Part of the funds will be used to finance ASL’s ongoing medium-haul fleet replacement programme.

ASL Airlines (Ireland) no longer operates ATR42, after its ATR42-300F, serial 273, was removed from the fleet. The aircraft had been operating on a CMI basis for FedEx Express.

So the majority will leave for CDG soon?
My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

According to this press article 20 out of 26 ASL aircraft should be maintained in CDG instead of LGG. An interesting clue ?

CDG is the base of ASL Airlines France. ASLF has also B737-800Fs into its fleet. ASLF operates also some flights for FedEx and Amazon. Some ASLF aircraft are often parked at Fedex and Amazon flights to and from Paris are both operated by ASL Ireland and ASLF.

Because ASLF has lost many sharing part with Fench Post Company. Flights from Paris to Limoges, Clermont Ferrand, Lille, Brest and Nantes are not longer operated since many years.

Early this year, flights from Paris Cdg to Lyon and Bordeaux ended. Flights to Nice, are now operated by ASL Ireland with Fedex ATRs. Flights to Toulouse, Montpellier and Bastia are now operated Swiftair (they replaced West Atlantic UK which has replace Europe Air Post).

Only Marseille and Ajaccio are still served by ASL Airlines France

CDG is the biggest Fedex base outside USA (https://www.fedex.com/content/dam/fedex ... keting.pdf). And CDG is one of the biggest base of ASL Group
