They use a wet-lease for the summer season, not anything close to taking delivery in their fleet.

TUI fly (Germany) abandons the B787 for now as its long-haul plans were dropped. The carrier will continue to rely on the B737 MAX, with three in the fleet by 2021 end.

9H-SLG arrived AMS on 22/07 but did not make any flight since then.

Change of plans: positioned to IAS on wetlease to Wizzair now, who are struggling with crew shortages for the moment. On the other hand, 9H-SLJ was ferried to AMS.

It's possible indeed. Nowadays TUI BE and NL are so much intertwined that it is sometimes confusing.

No. You simply had the wrong info.

Taking delivery is a completely wrong wording.
Those planes are not delivered to TUI, they are wet-leased (2 FCM Smartlynx + CCM provided by TUI).

The Dreamliners have remained on the ground since the outbreak of the pandemic, as the health situation has not allowed them to fulfil their mission: to cover long-distance flights to vacation destinations such as Cancun (Mexico) or Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). Already last June, the financial director of TUI Group, Sebastian Ebel, had explained that its German airline was abandoning its initial intention to fly long-haul with Boeings 787 Dreamliner.
That is totally incorrect. The 787's of TUI UK/BE/NL have performed quite a lot of cargo/military/special flights since the beginning of the pandemic. PUJ/SDQ has also been resumed at the beginning of this summer, and all 787's performed flights to European destinations as well.

Yep. We also often stayed home during the lockdown(s)
Yet, the 787 fleet remained the most active "since the outbreak of the pandemic".

Any idea what is going on with Tuifly ? We are bound to fly with them to Tenerife in about 2 weeks, with flight number TB1765. However this flight number is non-existing on flightmapper and on flightradar24 the flight was scheduled last saturday as well but no actual flight took place as far as I can see.

I was wondering what aircraft type would be used. ny insider(s) know more ? :)

Can you please clarify your request: date and departure airport (TUIfly flies to TFS from 5 Belgian airports).
