I'm quite sure QR will never let another airline fly with its livery, the aircraft is not owned by QR anymore.
Actually they DO: Hungary bought ex A7-AFF to be operated by Wizz Air, though used for flights for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and trade. It is still in basic QR livery, of course without the titles. Looks the same like OO-CMA. QR never complained.

Vic- the discussion is about the titles, not the basic colour scheme of course!

While waiting to be repainted in a still unknown livery, here are the different photos that I could find on the web. All the credits obviously go to the creators and don't come back to me. Someone would say why to quote the reg. there is the european logo and not belgian, is it just provisional ?

OO-AIR (A330-200) ex-A7-AFG was parked at position 695 in Brussels, just like OO-CMA, and departed at exactly 12 noon (11:00Z) and landed in Dublin at 12:15Z.

Hello,

After a long wait here is finally our answer. No white or Air Belgium but the operator's livery. Personally, I don't like it too much, but everyone has their own opinion.

No white? That's exactly how it looks: standard eurowhite with titles only! Disappointing...

I meant no white in the all-white sense without any logo / writing. But honestly I hope the others won't be like this but unfortunately I think so...

Surinam Airways'management has informed its staff that their own B777-200ER (PZ-TCU) will leave the fleet asap. Maintenance fears that an engine needs to be replaced, and that's gonna be too expensive for the airline. "...Zodra zaken definitief zijn, zullen wij dit met u delen. In de tussentijd wordt de Mid-Atlantische vliegroute onderhouden door Air Belgium...", the letter to the staff says: "meanwhile, our Mid-Atlantic route will be flown by Air Belgium".

Going to DUB, the stop in BRU was probably because the aircraft needed to be officially imported in Belgium (or the EU) before landing in DUB for its paint job. As for the why, could have to do with oddities around the importation or registration of Belgian aircraft, tax issues in Belgium, or in Ireland (eg higher tax on a paint job for aircraft not based in the EU before arriving in Ireland). It could have been a crew change but not likely.

The first flight under a new owner/operator/registrant often has odd stops or unusual routings to gain some benefits around taxes or other regulations. For years, Boeing aircraft sold to a country in Europe (I think the UK) were delivered by Boeing pilots because the final batch of paperwork wasn't signed until the aircraft had reached the airspace of its destination country, yet the crew was under orders not to land until they got the go-ahead from Boeing after all signatures were collected.

Coming back from DUB, I'm going to guess parking is at a premium in LGG so keeping the plane in BRU until first flight makes sense.

Who owns those four A330Fs after all? Not even CMA CGM.

It's the leasing and financing company AFG Aviation Ireland, a subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH, that completed the acquisition of four A330-200Fs, serials 1688, 1708, 1584, and 1594 from Qatar Airways Group for CMA CGM Air Cargo. All four aircraft will be operated by Air Belgium on behalf of CMA CGM Air Cargo.
