Conflict of interests how? Did the ADP board members somehow block measures that would have benefited FedEx? Did they gain confidential information about airport charges and the likes and used it to make FedEx a better offer?
Don't you think that Aéroports de Paris will facilitate the FedEx flights to Paris by all means, where it can collect 100% of the airport charges, rather than to Liège where it gets only 25%?

I'm not claiming they wouldn't, but in and out of itself, that is not a conflict. Conflict would exist if ADP relied on non-public information they would have access to as directors of LGG, or if its directors would advocate and/or vote for board resolutions that benefit CDG over LGG.

Good summary with some numbers
"in 2020, FedEx made up 27% of LGG's volume"
https://www.cargoforwarder.eu/2021/01/2 ... job-axing/

But I still dont get it
You need a whole network or the design falls appart no ?
Keeping "a few" destinations ? What for ?

In another press release Luc Partoune states that FedEx represents 40% of LGG's freight activity !

Every integrator has primary and secondary hubs. Typically secondary hubs are either to handle regional traffic (shortening distance flown/driven) or to serve only the largest destinations and relieve the primary hubs - sometimes a combination of both.

LGG and CGN are 150 km away from each other ! Don't you find it a bit too redundant ?

Well, between 15 and 20%, its less than the growth of this year... it can be easily forgotten if handled well.
I hope people can move to another job freely without waiting for their severance package, helping other successful business grow.

CAPA says this: "Jiangxi International Cargo Airlines is a cargo carrier based in the Jiangxi Province, China. The carrier launched on 23-Jan-2021 with nine times weekly Nanchang-Liege service using Boeing 747-400F equipment. The airline focuses on aviation logistics services and cargo charter business." It does not specify that the flights are operated by Air China...

https://centreforaviation.com/data/prof ... o-airlines

But this report of the maiden flight shows indeed a B744F registered B-2476 that belongs to Air China:

I'll give you that they are unusually close however having CDG and CGN before the TNT acquisition was a necessity (never have a single airport in a given geographic area in case that airport closes unexpectedly - weather, crash, etc.). LGG can easily absorb the CGN volume, while the opposite is not true, and FedEx is not a big fan of being the second-largest all-cargo operator at any of its hubs. At the same time, LGG is clearly not well served by Fedex's difficulties in integrating TNT... All that to conclude I wouldn't be surprised if ether LGG or CGN is downgraded to a spoke within 5 years... but I don't know which.

Distance between airports is not the most important factor though. FedEx built a hub at AFW because acquiring land there was marginally cheaper than getting more land to expand their existing operations at DFW 30 km down the road...

Maybe not really the correct topic.
Saw already a few time when FX is flying CAN - LGG (like today FX6086) or NRT - LGG they always take a southern route, not the "normal" northern route over Siberia. Also when leaving Kazak airspace, they make a sharp right turn to the north.
Is there any specific reason for that?

I noticed the same pattern on multiple if not all K4 BRU-HKG flights. Both K4 and FX have US registrations, therefore I would expect that this may be an issue here.

Just saw the flightpad from K4335, strange indeed. Wondering where the restriction comes from or from wich country (Mongolia?).
