Is there any more interesting forum about belgian aviation around? ;)
You may be surprised, but you are not the only ‘professional’ here. And professionals are entitled to their professional opinion. A cracked windshield may not technically qualify as a pressurisation issue to you, but for others (including me) it is.

I’ve spent a few thousand hours in 0A, experienced a cracked windshield and I can assure you I treated it as a pressurisation issue. That the windscreen isn’t completely blown out (yet) or the plane isn’t (yet) filled with fog, doesn’t mean it’s any less serious. Semantics don’t really change that.

Just like me, you are entitled to your professional opinion and you have made it known. It may not correspond to that of others, but a forum where everyone always agrees is a little boring and not very useful. We can have a different opinion, that’s not a problem. Anyway, I’d suggest we move on from this specific topic now.

Air France flight #AF393 from #Beijing to #Paris (Boeing 777-300ER reg. F-GSQD) returned to #PEK earlier today, and according to information, possibly due to an air conditioning system failure. There was a loud bang at the rear of the aeroplane and black smoke in the cabin, and shortly thereafter complete power failure in that cabin.

Air France explained that "a failure of the aircraft's pneumatic system resulted in overpressure in one of the air conditioning pipes, which spread residue and dust in the cabin".

United Airlines flight #UA59 (Boeing 777-300ER reg. N2138U) from Frankfurt to San Francisco turned around over the Atlantic and diverted to Dublin, reason unknown.

The flight took off again from Dublin, hence probably a medical emergency.
