Benelux VFR traffic

Latest days you can observe 2 phenomenons in our airspace on FR24: very intensive daily aerial survey, new misson for google ? And very much helicopter VFR flights, peculiar with Robinson helicopters, looks as Robinson owners have been invited to perform medical flights ?

Rigarding the aerial surveys: it's an ideal weather for that too... Regardless of corona.

Maybe the intense survey is related to the fact that Apple maps wants to defeat Google maps by 2021 ?

You can also spot the difference between on one hand UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Spain and on the other hand the Netherlands and Germany. Amazing 😶

Moreover, the aircraft can fly at a height usually reserved for airliners. This is a thing especially around busy airports where they can now do their business without having to deal with the approach paths. For companies in this business, these times are a blessing and they seize this opportunity they'll probably never get again anythime soon. It seems that we can expect much higher quality photos in the near future.

I hear that those companies are only minor players in this business. There are apparantly companies which sell the photos and data from aerial surveys to professionals. From what I'm hearing this is big business where the photos have much higher density and detail than the ones on Google maps.
