Air Lease Corp. announced a long-term lease placement for one used A320-200 with HiSky Moldova. Scheduled to deliver in April 2021, this is ALC’s third A320 family aircraft placement with the Moldovan startup airline.

Canarian Airways will have to wait some time before securing US$828,000 in public funds, as the regional government is delaying its entry into the capital stock of the startup airline.

Norse Atlantic Airways began a US$150 million share placement to bankroll the launch of trans-Atlantic flights in late 2021. CEO Bjorn Tore Larsen will subscribe for stock worth the equivalent of $10 million, while $64 million has been allocated to six backers including three local financiers. Following the private sale, the airline plans to list on the Oslo Stock Exchange in mid-April 2021.

However, the US House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee chairman urged the Biden administration to deny a permit for a new Norse Atlantic Airways to enter the domestic market.
