HU will suspend the PVG flight during winterseason.

On the other hand, extra slots are requested for the SZX flights 1-2-3-4-5 operating days (not confirmed)

Also from October the PEK-BRU will change to the B787. Not confirmed yet by the airline. But heard it from a pilot/friend who flies the A330 at Hainan. He lost is home flight.. ;)

what might be the reason to suspend this route? This was only 3weekly and PVG seems to me a high demanded destination?

On the other hand, it makes more sense to extand the HU timetable to SZX from days -2-4--- to days 1-3-5-- while CX flies to HKG on days -2-4--67.

Yes, indeed.
A single entry five days visa on arrival is available at the border in Shenzhen. The validity shall not be extendable.

I don't understand why they don't go for 2 flights a day to connect with the long haul flights?

If necessary with a smaller plane it's maybe time to add some propeller so they could keep Nantes also and open some new destinations.

Knowing there is no restriction in BRU about slots it's really a card to play that the other big airports can not fulfill!

Brussels Airlines is missing creativity and energy in my opinion.

The Avro was a good plane for them as it was not a big one. They could fly on this niche market. Now they have only A319 and A320 which is too big for certain destinations. AF/KLM understand this very well and they bought the A220 to fly on thinner routes.

This A220 could be a perfect plane for SN to fly to such destinations, even more than once a day, but still with not too many seats.

Better to invest in a smart fleet than to lose money still with a reboot plan

I think that the Q400 would be a better plane cheaper to use and buy and fast but I'm not a specialist....

The Q400 became a problem on some routes for cargo reasons that's why they swapped certain routes with the RJ back in the days and eventually transferred them to Cityjet.

I am not following your reasoning. First you say that the A319 is too big for some destinations, then you say the A220 is a perfect plane? The A220 is almost as big as the A319-A320 family. Capacity-wise, the 319 fits in exactly between the A220-100 and -300.

Although, I also think the A220 is an amazing aircraft, I don't think it makes sense to have 20 A220 and 20 A320F.
