Air Dolomiti (the Italian subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group) plans to expand its fleet to 17 aircraft over the next two years as Lufthansa Cityline to transfer over five E195s, and possibly nine more aircraft by 2024. The Italian airline envisions an eventual future fleet of E190 E2 or A220.

Indeed, now it's just eurowhite. Easy to switch within the LH group with little paint work!

Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr suggested that plans to close the ageing Berlin Tegel should be reconsidered, citing growing passenger numbers and doubts about whether the long-overdue Berlin Brandenburg airport slated to be opened in 2020 has sufficient capacity.

Lufthansa Cargo will take delivery of a fourth brand-new freighter in autumn 2019. The B777F will be leased from Boeing and operated by AeroLogic at Leipzig/Halle Airport. This will take the AeroLogic fleet to 12 aircraft this year.

Nobody knows. Lufthansa Group says that the allocation of the new aircraft among its airlines will be decided later. As well as the seat configuration (although I fear a 9-across seating in the Economy class of the 787).

The rendering in the article says it all…

Maybe, if SN is asking very nicely they might get some 767's from OS or the A340's of LX so Herr Spohr can nag about their financial performance again

Indeed... we only see LH, LX and OS. For LH, Brussels Airlines doesn't even exist. It's dead waste, to be cleaned up and replaced by lousy lowcost EW.

Everybody knows that SN is now a part of Eurowings Group and not LH group.
SN is still alive!
Trademark is not the most important... even if we would like to see SN growing on the longhaul operations...

Great stuff. Lufthansa hasn't announced yet which airline will get which aircraft. Lufthansa even says that this decision hasn't been taken yet. Luckily we have some Aviation24.be members for that scoop.

Ignorance is a bless. Just look at the damn rendering and keep denying the obvious.

Sn part of EW ?
There is a major difference between the two, SN is a hub airline and (to my knowledge) EW is not.
EW business model is that of any LCC, as such designed to operate O/D flights. Whenever a hub function is required, EW cannot be considered. As I understand it, LH perfered to fly using their own metal to those leisure destinations however deemed hub dependant (in other words needing feeding and thus interlining facilities) such as CPT, MRU and others from one of their 2 hubs.
Also, that 's probably another reason (besides the wetleasing not being allowed any longer to the US) why SN were selected on the DUS l/h market instead of EW ? Although there aren't so many *Alliance flights departing from DUS to secondary destinations so maybe this point is not valid ?)
Not mentioning the JV N-Atlantic agreements between LH,LX,OS,UA and SN. EW are not part of that. And cannot be.
Therefore, being a hub airline within a high profile group, Sn are expected to offer a quality of service equivallent to that of its peers. And this requirement alone (not mentioning the expected economic gains) might include "state of the art" equipment as well.

Just another lie only the naive will believe. Just another lie to keep "us" (Belgians) quiet. Slowly but surely the erosion will affect SN.
You, the Belgians, refused to invest in SN when Davignon begged for it. So stop crying please. Actually, with their 100% ownership, Lufthansa is the sole winner when Brussels Airlines performs well / makes a profit.

(I only post this once, contrary to your three similar post here, in the Eurowings and in the Brussels Airlines topics)

But it still remains awkward, EW is part of the LH group, the brand of Brussels Airlines with all the employees etc based in Brussels is not ever mentioned, they could at least make an effort? We are talking about more than 3000 employees who would be interested in how their hard work is represented in the numbers...
