Among the top 10 European airports for freight traffic only two posted gains in January: Liège (+13.9%) and Madrid (+5%).

That's some growth, even by chineese standard :)
Now, i wonder how much of that actually flies, currently its 2x 744 a week... the trains are in the picture I suppose

Digital remote control towers : skeyes has started a project for the airports of Charleroi and Liège to replace the physical towers. The intention is that both airports will be managed from one location. Fewer air traffic controllers will then be needed than in two separate towers.

Just to be completely correct: the sentence that fewer air traffic controllers will be needed than in two separate towers has been removed at Belga. Apparently I misheard something and it isn't the case.

anyone has more info ?

And maybe the other most important question : why is everything so slow ?
