Reported by the AVH.
28DEC around 2330Z, three heavies ENE of Delhi.
KLM 777, AMS-BKK, heading 142 at FL330
National Air Cargo 747, Bagram to KGK, heading 142 at FL310 straight below the KLM.
EVA Air 777, BKK-VIE, on the reciprocal heading 322 at FL320
NAC requests FL350.
ATC : “Standby, expect 350”.
Nevertheless NAC starts climbing.
ATCO gets an alarm and instructs NAC to turn left. Immediately followed by same instruction to EVA.
Very close to have rain of metal in the area.
NAC busting KL level popping up to its left.
Not sure how the TCAS alone would have "solved" this.

Re: (near) Strike in India.
I don't know if we should call it a near strike, a loss of separation perhaps ? or an air proxy ?
KLM said this Sunday to news agency ANP that its own aircraft has never been in danger. “It’s about an incident between two planes,” said a spokeswoman. “Contrarily to national and international reporting, flight KL875 to Bangkok is NOT involved in the near collision over India. KL875 was flying nearby, but safety has not been compromised,” KLM wrote in a statement.

Piece of cake for TCAS, it is designed for situations like this one.Homo Aeroportus wrote: ↑30 Dec 2018, 13:24

As long as pilots promptly and accurately execute TCAS orders, it’s success rate is very very close to 100%.
With APTCAS it’s as simple as: just sit back, relax and watch the autopilot do it.
Loss of separation would indeed be a more appropriate title for this topic, just leave sensational headlines to The Sun and HLN, please!
