Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019
SN277 to ACC is cancelled today.
According to Flightstats.com, yesterday morning OO-SFW planned for this service was replaced by OO-SFK.
Two hours later Kilo was replaced by Lima, soon to be swapped back to Kilo before the flight was cancelled.
Indeed, yesterday OO-SFK left DUS for EWR with a delay of more than 3 hours. The return flight just landed back at DUS at 09:00LT and will not be able to operate SN277 today as once planned.
Instead OO-SFK will fly out of DUS for MIA today.

By canceling every day for weeks or even months 10 to 15% of long-haul flights ... without any communication or adaptation, I can not imagine, for a company heiress of a symbolic name, that it does not there is a hidden plan, LH's willingness to close, slowly but surely this company which she does not know what to do while she has a good potential. In addition, magnificent contempt for African cities.Homo Aeroportus wrote: ↑27 Sep 2019, 09:25SN277 to ACC is cancelled today.

Though SN277 had been cancelled as said before, later this afternoon an SN1277 resurrected the service to ACC-LFW today.
Good 'ol OO-SFL that had left DUS yesterday with a 3-1/2 hour delay, rushed back from JFK to reach DUS at 13:36, not even 2 hours late.
A quick turnaround of less than 3 hours and off she goes to the rescue of stricken SN.
OO-SFL arrived at BRU at 16:45 to run the ACC service rescheduled at ... 15:00.
She left a bit late at 19:01 which raises the question : is this a single delay of +8 hours on the original SN277 planned at 10:40, or are these two separate delays?

Anyhow, SFL is planned to reach Lomé at 23:16, ... same day

FR24 gives destination as LFW, so not sure she'll make Accra though, or maybe a stop on her way back to BRU.
FR24 puts OO-SFL on the SN515 service to IAD tomorrow.
Kinda doubdful, gonna be tight even if they bus the Pax to the runway side to save time in the turnaround.
But there is still hope as BRU web site already announces tonight that the flight to IAD will suffer a delay, ETA is now 12:40.
But the flight will be operated, promised.
To make room tomorrow, it is the SN357 to FIH that will be cancelled.
Sometimes I wonder .....

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019
Just a question how do they do with the passengers to FIH?
There are not enough seats to put them all to the flight of the next day!
To North American destinations it's easier but for the African destinations do they put them on Air France?

I like the anticipated information about this 6-hour closure due to take place end of October.
Or did you mean 190928 to 190929 ?

Fictional announcement Gate 40 :
"Ladies and Gentlemen passengers with destination Monrovia and Freetown, some information about your flight that should have departed 1 hour ago.
The aircraft had to operate a flight to Florida on behalf of another airline yesterday and is currently taking off from Dusseldorf for a short hop to Brussels.
Estimated departure time is 14h50.
Thank you for your patience and for flying with Brussels Airlines."

Edited : above is fictional !

It seems that TUI flight FH7361 (DLM-BRU), operated by Freebird Airlines A320 TC-FHN, has a delay of almost 12 hrs, AC is still on the ground in Stuttgart.
Does anyone know the reason?

Somewhat similar to the daily "Ships in Port" Gazette published by harbours, here is BRU "Jets in Bed".
Only one casualty today : SN245 BRU-FNA-ROB, Freetown-Monrovia
STD 12:00. OO-SFD planned but replaced by SFF this morning, minutes before being cancelled.
SFF was then put on the SN277 service to ACC-LFW.
4 somewhat significant delays (hey, still arrive same day !) :
IAD & JFK by about 1-1/2h
ACC & DSS by a bit more than 2 hours.
Hasta la miseria, siempre !

Return of a trip on YVR - PSP-MEX - HAV CDG ... and I see on my return 3 weeks after my departure ... that the situation is always the same @ SN...Clearly the situation of long haul no one's interested in SN or at LH. It only interests the miserable passengers who have no choice for one reason or the other !! May be the "Reboot plan" will reboot the long haul schedules by deleting them !Homo Aeroportus wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 17:05Jets in Bed today :

Yes indeed SN371 was operated with a delay, a SIX-hour delay.Kapitein wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 23:48OOSFU is flying for EW today (13/10) EW1104 DUS - RSW, returning back to DUS on 14/10 and later on to BRU for flying SN371 (with delay)Homo Aeroportus wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 17:05Jets in Bed today :

Well, fortunately these flights operated for EW are so profitable that the 600€ EU261 compensation can be swallowed.

18OCT Jets in Bed :
OO-SFF. Was to operate SN277 to ACC.
Service cancelled yesterday evening.
Foxtrot hasn't flown since 13OCT. Due to fly SN203 to DSS tomorrow.
An SN1277 is shown on BRU web site, due to leave for ACC (*) at 17:00, a delay on departure of 06h20.
(*) seems will fly straight to Lomé then ACC on the way back to BRU instead of the BRU-ACC-LFW-ACC-BRU.
OO-SFT left as SN515 to IAD with a delay of 2h40.

it seems that OO-SFP (DUS-based) is AOG in LAS and EW1112 DUS-EWR is cancelled today (was to be operated by OO-SFK).
So it seems the problems with the SN A330's are not limited only to BRU...

These cancellations of constant and recurrent SN flights for days, months, years should no longer be reported in a topic "anomalies" ... since this is the norm !Homo Aeroportus wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 20:17SN1277 has been further delayed to 1900, before being cancelled.Homo Aeroportus wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 13:10...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019
I am surprised nobody talk about the reliability of Airbus A330... In 2018 SFM had been the most reliable! It was the oldest one. Everyone knows that the age of an aircraft is not important for its reliability and no one can question the excellent level of competence of our aeronautical engineers and technicians.

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019
I am not the author of this publication. I was just referring to it to show that the age of an aircraft is not a significant source of problems. On the other hand, remember the City jet SRJ 100s: new aircraft and many technical problems...
